This week, the Senior Class at Owenbeg N.S. took on an exciting STEM challenge: designing, building, and coding sleighs for Santa using Lego Spike kits.
Students started by brainstorming ideas for festive and functional sleighs, focusing on aerodynamics, stability, and space for presents. They then brought their designs to life, adding moving parts and using Lego Spike’s coding platform to program their sleighs to move, stop, and even flash lights.
The classroom buzzed with excitement as sleighs glided across tables, showcasing the students’ creativity and teamwork. This hands-on activity was a fantastic way to develop skills in engineering, coding, and problem-solving while having fun.
Well done to the Senior Class for their innovative designs and festive spirit. Santa’s deliveries are in good hands!
