At Owenbeg N.S., we highly value the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) in our students’ learning and we endeavour to offer playful and interactive experiences in STEM areas across the curriculum.
Our students regularly participate in coding and computational thinking tasks, Maths Week, Science Week, Code Week EU and Engineers Week. Through STEM, we place a very strong focus on the development of 21st Century skills such as collaboration, cooperation, critical thinking and problem-solving, thus preparing our students for life-long learning.
We also place a strong emphasis on active involvement and experiences of STEM, promoting positive role models in STEM careers. Our students also regularly participate in and attend STEM school events and school trips.
