In Owenbeg N.S. we place a strong emphasis on the importance of outdoor learning, creating opportunities for child-centred and play-based learning wherever possible.
We recently developed a working school garden, growing and caring for our own vegetables and plants. In 2023 our Senior Room pupils planned and designed our new vegetable garden, building and filling the raised beds with soil and planting an array of vegetables and plants.
They took care to plant native plants to attract pollinators and develop the biodiversity on our school grounds. We look forward to developing our school vegetable garden this school year!
