The children of Owenbeg N.S. had a fantastic day at the Primary Schools Athletics Fest, held on the 26th September at Sligo ATU. Pupils from 3rd to 6th Class competed in relay races and performed exceptionally well, demonstrating great sportsmanship and positive behaviour throughout the event.
This annual event, organised by the Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership in collaboration with County Sligo Athletics Association, is a highlight of the school year, with over 1,000 participants from across the county. Sponsored by Super Valu, the fest is part of the European Week of Sport initiative, promoting active and healthy lifestyles for young people across the EU.
