We have recently formed a new student council in Owenbeg N.S. and what an amazing time we had during this year’s elections! Not only did students get a hands-on experience with the democratic process—from setting up polling stations to counting votes and managing surpluses—but they also learned about the power of their voice in shaping our school community. The Student Council gives our students a chance to influence decisions, share their ideas, and help make Owenbeg N.S. an even better place for everyone.
Our candidates from 1st to 6th Class were buzzing with excitement, creating eye-catching campaign posters and delivering speeches that showcased their passion for positive change. With two fantastic presiding officers leading the way, voting ran smoothly, and everyone participated in a fun and engaging experience. We’re thrilled to see how the Student Council will amplify the student voice and help our school grow this year!
