On Tuesday the 12th of November, our Senior Room and students from 1st and 2nd Class took part in a fantastic day of music and fun as we traveled to Leisureland in Galway for the Peace Proms practice concert.
The Peace Proms is an amazing initiative that brings schools together to celebrate the joy of music and promote peace through song. At Leisureland, we joined lots of other schools for a high-energy rehearsal. We worked through all the Peace Proms songs, actions, and dances under the guidance of the brilliant conductor and organisers. It was inspiring to hear everyone singing in harmony and to see how all our hard work in practice sessions has paid off! The atmosphere in the room was electric as the songs came alive with the combined voices of so many young singers.
After the rehearsal, we made a quick stop in Supermac’s in Ballindine on the way home, where everyone enjoyed a well-deserved treat. It was a great way to unwind after such an exciting day.
We’re so proud of how well-behaved and enthusiastic all our students were throughout the day. Their singing was brilliant, and their energy and positivity made the day even more enjoyable.
Now, it’s full steam ahead as we continue to rehearse and fine-tune our performances for the big concert in UL Arena, Limerick in March.
